Paint Protection Film

PPF most commonly stands for Paint Protection Film, a transparent, durable polyurethane film applied to car exteriors to protect paint from rock chips, scratches, and stains. It is a self-healing, removable shield that protects against road debris and UV damage on your vehicle. There are many options such as: clear PPF, matte PPF or colour PPF.

Many modern PPF brands have a top clear coat that can heal light scratches or swirl marks with heat from the sun or a heat gun. It consists of a clear coat, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) layer (which absorbs impacts), and an adhesive layer.
